California Gov. Jerry Brown, right, delivers his speech in the Synod Hall as he attends a conference on Modern Slavery and Climate Change at the Vatican, Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Dozens of environmentally friendly mayors from around the world are meeting at the Vatican this week to bask in the star power of eco-Pope Francis and commit to reducing global warming and helping the urban poor deal with its effects.
Gov. Jerry Brown’s wailing about “climate change” (“Brown delivers climate change warning,” July 22) will never save California. There are about 7 billion people on Earth, and California is but an insignificant part – except in Gov. Moonbeam’s mind.
Brown is like a home-owner whose home is ripe to be robbed but instead of protecting his home, he spends his fortune feeding 3,000 homeless or some other “feel-good” activity. His family may be murdered in their beds, but he “feels good” because he did his part for the world.
Brown better start fixing California infrastructure and building defenses against sea-level rise and stop this Kumbayah blather about what India or Red China are – or are not – doing. We are running out of time.
